Personal training session in a Los Angeles gym

Gyms, studios & trainers · Los Angeles

Marketing for gyms and fitness studios that fills the 6 a.m. class.

Trial-offer funnels on Google and Meta, targeting that respects how far Angelenos will actually drive, and a website that sells the first visit — for gyms, boutique studios and personal trainers.

Client shoot · Los Angeles

Nobody in Los Angeles joins a gym twenty-five minutes away. Fitness marketing here is a radius game: the right offer, in front of the right people, within the distance they’ll drive at 6 a.m. or 6 p.m.

We’ve run lead generation for a Pasadena-area gym and shot the floor, the trainers and the classes that made the ads work. The system is simple and it repeats: a trial offer, a landing page that books it, ads within the real drive-time radius, and a follow-up sequence so leads show up.

  • A trial offer that converts. Free week, $49 for 21 days, first class free — we test which one your neighborhood responds to and build everything around it.
  • Radius targeting that respects traffic. Campaigns drawn around drive time, not a circle on a map. Pasadena and Eagle Rock are not the same audience as Glendale.
  • Meta video from your actual classes. Fifteen seconds of a real class beats any stock reel. We shoot it, cut it vertical, and run it to lookalikes of your members.
  • A landing page that books. One offer, one form, a calendar. Leads get a text within minutes, because a fitness lead goes cold by dinner.
  • Retention content. Member stories, transformation posts, class schedules. Keeps current members engaged and gives the ads something real to point at.

The funnel

Offer, page, follow-up. In that order.

Most gym ads fail at the page, not the ad. Someone taps a “free week” ad and lands on a homepage with a class schedule and a phone number. We build a single page for the offer with a form and a booking calendar, and the ads point only there.

Every lead gets an automated text and email inside five minutes, and your front desk gets a notification. Show rate on trials is where the money is, and it’s almost entirely about speed.

The floor

Show the room, show the coach, show the people.

People join for the coach and the community, not the equipment list. Photos and video of your trainers working with real members do more than any offer. We shoot a half day on your floor and deliver stills for the site, the Google profile and the ads, plus vertical video for Meta and Instagram.

Seasonality

Plan the year, not just January.

  1. January–February

Highest intent, highest ad costs. Budgets go up, offers get simpler, and the follow-up sequence gets tightened before New Year’s.

  2. Spring

Summer-body searches begin in March. Google Search campaigns on “personal trainer near me” and class-specific terms do the work.

  3. Summer

Costs drop. This is when we shoot new photo and video and build the retargeting audiences that make fall cheaper.

  4. Fall

Back-to-routine offers in September. Retargeting to everyone who looked in spring, plus lookalikes of members who stayed.

Pricing

Starting points, not a rate card.

Local Growth

$2,500 /mo

Google Ads, Google Business Profile and lead automation, run as one system with one dashboard. The starting point for most businesses we work with.

Launch

$6,500

A new website, a half-day photo shoot and a complete Google Business Profile. For a new business or a fresh start.

Content Day

$2,000 /mo

One photo and video day a month with everything delivered cut for ads, Instagram and the website.

Every plan is scoped after a 15-minute call. Ad campaigns work best with $1,500 or more a month in ad spend; below that, there isn’t enough data to optimize and we’ll say so.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does it cost to get a gym lead in LA?

It varies by neighborhood and offer, and we won’t quote a number we can’t back. On the call we’ll show you the ranges we’ve seen and what it takes to beat them.

Do you work with personal trainers and small studios?

Yes. Trainers and single-studio boutiques are most of our fitness work. The budget is smaller and the radius is tighter, but the system is the same.

Can you connect to Mindbody, Zen Planner or Glofox?

Yes. We track trial bookings and, where the platform allows it, memberships back to the campaign that produced them.

Will you run our Instagram?

We produce the video and photo and run the paid side. Organic posting stays with your team; we’ll hand over a monthly content plan and the assets to fill it.
